To advance the gospel of Jesus Christ and promote faithful Christian living through the free distribution of the radio sermons of Juan Boonstra by means of the radio, internet, tracts and books.
In 1956 Argentinean evangelist Juan Boonstra secured the help of friends in Seymour Church in Grand Rapids to begin a radio ministry in the city of Comodoro Rivadavia, Chubut, Argentina. These broadcasts attracted many listeners and his popularity grew. In 1961 Boonstra met Dr. Joel Nederhood, director of radio programming for the Christian Reformed Church. The two collaborated in the translation of the program "The Hour of Return to God" into Spanish. Soon after, Boonstra moved to Chicago to launch his own program "The Hour of Reformation" which was released in radio markets all over Latin America. Boonstra retired from full ministry in 1992 and went home to be with the Lord in 1995. He left a living legacy of over 1300 radio messages, all in the reformed tradition.
Sound in doctrine yet simple in their design, Boonstra's messages forcefully call all men to Christ and offer practical instructions to Christians on how to live a vibrant Christian faith. These short sermons, preached from a reformed biblical worldview transcend time and are as relevant to listeners today as when they were first broadcast in the 60s, 70s, and 80s.
The Boonstra Project is a revival of the preaching ministry of Juan Boonstra. May God bless your hearing of each powerful message brought to you from the Word of God.
